About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Restadian website and the tools published on it. They are a structural draft. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer, they have not been finalised, and they should not be relied on as a statement of enforceable terms.

What Restadian is

Restadian is an educational publication about sleep timing, light, and circadian rhythm. It publishes guides, research briefs, and tools that help you understand and organise your own schedule.

What Restadian is not

Restadian does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using the site does not create a clinician–patient relationship of any kind.

The tools estimate. They work from what you tell them and general timing principles, and they cannot measure your body, see your health history, or account for your circumstances. Their output is educational and should be treated as a starting point for your own judgement.

Decisions about your health are yours, and where they matter they should be made with a qualified professional. Nothing on this site should delay you from seeking care.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated means to extract its content at a scale that interferes with its operation.

Intellectual property

The written content, design, and code of the site are the property of Restadian unless stated otherwise. You may read, print, and share pages for personal and non-commercial use, and you may quote from them with attribution and a link.

Republishing substantial portions of the site, or using its content to train commercial models, is not permitted without permission. The precise scope of this section is one of the things the legal review is expected to settle.

Third-party links

We link to external sources so you can check what we say against them. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care with what we publish and correct errors when we find them or when they are reported. We do not guarantee that every page is complete or current at every moment, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site.

Limitation of liability

A limitation of liability clause will appear here in the reviewed version. It has deliberately not been drafted, because writing an untested liability limitation would create a false impression that a considered legal position exists where none does yet.

Changes

These terms will change, most obviously when the reviewed version replaces this draft. The date at the top of the page will reflect that.
